10. Spells

The following spells have been modified for Hydra.  (Some spells require you to follow a separate link.)


Banishment

Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength, Cat's Grace, Eagle's Splendor, Fox's Cunning, and Owl's Wisdom
Each now has a range of Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels).

Chill Touch

Color Spray

Cure/Inflict Minor Wounds
Do not exist. They have been replaced with Stabilize and Bleed. (respectively)

Dimensional Anchor 

Dismissal

Dispel Magic

Disrupt Undead
Deals 2d6 instead of 1d6 damage. Clerics may prepare this as a 0-lvl spell.

Enlarge Person

Entangle

Fire Shield

Flaming Sphere
Deals 2d6 damage, save for half. (instead of save for none)

Glitterdust

Irresistible Dance 

Longstrider
May be taken by Bards, Clerics, Druids, Mages, and Rangers.  It has a range of close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) and a target of one creature.

Longstrider, Mass
Same as Longstrider, but 3rd level and affects up to 1 target/level within a 20' radius.

Mass Cure Critical Wounds, Cure Light Wounds, Cure Moderate Wounds, Cure Serious Wounds, and Heal
Each affects up to one creature/level in a 20' radius.

Mass Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength, Cat's Grace, Eagle's Splendor, Fox's Cunning, and Owl's Wisdom
Each has been reduced from level 6 to level 4.  Each affects up to one creature/level in a 20' radius.

Rage
Rage grants a +4 to Strength and Constitution (as per a level 1 Barbarian) instead of +2

Ray of Frost
Deals 1d6 damage, See "Cantrip Rays" (below)

Reduce Person

Slay Living
On a failed save, the target takes 12d6 points of damage + 1 point per caster level

Wall of Thorns

Cantrip Rays
0 level rays, such as Ray of Frost have been reworked in order to make them effective combat options for low level casters. They follow the same format as the Ray of Frost, but the element may be whatever the caster decides to learn. The damage has also been increased from 1d3 to 1d6. The format is as follows.

Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Effect: One ray
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes

A thin ray of element or force bursts from your fingertips. You must succeed on a ranged touch attack to deal 1d6 points of undefined or elemental damage to the target.
